When I was younger… MUCH younger, I didn’t have much… And with an older brother, such as mine, I had less! (Love you, Big O) So there were a few things that I had to do without…
One, was being FRESH, because even as a Teen, I still played with Toys (still do) and part of being FRESH was having the proper accessories. -Such as having a Belt.
Yep, something as simple as holding up your pants…
Just thinking back… Tall, wire-frame build, -Buck-twenty, Wet, big book bag with no textbooks, only drawing material, with a pair of shoe laces, holding up my “relaxed fit” Silvertabs… I can laugh about it now, YOU better not!!
Well one day at a trim store in the Fashion District, I peeped a spool of braided rope and had a flashback… Minutes later, I walked out with like, 3ft of rope.
Rocking it takes me back… And even though I have more than what I did as a kid, it reminds me of times when I had less.
Humble yourselves therefore – Be willing to take a low place – a place such as becomes you. Do not arrogate to yourselves what does not belong to you; do not evince pride and haughtiness in your manner; do not exalt yourselves above others. See the notes at Luke 14:7-11
Funny… I typed “Humble Yourself” and googled it and found what I pasted above… Not to get all Religious and all, but it’s true…

Love it!
